Tom Pickard, his wife Connie, and their two children came to visit Andy and Christina Wylie in February 1971 and stayed the whole month. Tom needed a picture for his book Guttersnipe, that Ferlinghetti was publishing, so the very day he arrived I took his picture. It was a good thing, too, because it was the only picture I took of him the whole time he was here.
